Leaving Home

Where to find scriptural help, when leaving home:

Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you- the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm-he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and your going both now and forevermore.

Matthew 10:16-18

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. But be on your guard against men; they will hand you over to the local councils and flog you in their synagogues. On my account you will brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.

Matthew 28:20

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, through the many changes of life, you stand beside us as our Savior and friend. When we think of people and places we have left behind, remind us that you are always near to comfort and guide us. Amen.
