    January 12 – March 2 “Epiphany Moments”

“Epiphany” comes from a Greek word that means “reveal.” When someone has an epiphany, it’s not that reality changed. The way they see that reality is what changed, for a deeper truth has been revealed. An epiphany is an “a-ha!” moment causing us to look at things very differently.

In the Church Year, Epiphany is the season where we see Jesus begin his ministry, revealing the reason the Son of God came to earth. In this season we will come to understand that when we have Jesus in our lives, it does not always mean our reality drastically changes. It simply means that we see reality differently (and better). Jesus always provides an abundance of epiphany moments.

  • Literacy Night

Mark your calendars! Literacy Night is scheduled for Friday, February 28th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Literacy Night is a fun evening where students showcase projects that they have made, a book walk where they can win free books, a photo booth and more! This year's theme is "Reading is Fin-tastic! An Under the Sea Adventure." You don’t want to miss this!

    Lenten Reflections Tea

On March 9th, St. John's will be hosting a Lenten Reflections Tea at 5:00 p.m. This event for ladies of all ages is a wonderful evening of the Word, music, and fellowship in a candlelit setting to help you prepare your hearts for Christ's sacrifice on the cross and what that means for believers! This will be a smilar format to Advent by Candlelight. We will be looking for musicians, narrators, decorators, and table hostesses. A light meal will be provided as well. There is more information and a signup sheet in the narthex. Please contact Wendy Fischer with any questions.
